Roast 992.2 development team
I feel like we haven’t done enough roasting of the 992.2 development team and we need a dedicated thread for their terrible design and questionable engineering choices like start button and digital tach.
so here it is. Let’s roast
I will go first:
What were you thinking by dropping the rotate key to start experience for a start button? It sucks. That was likely one of the most unique things about a 911 and 992. We want it back!

The digital tach is trash.

Everything is subjective.... except the Push to start. You went from twist to start to push to start - it's the same damn thing... except one is found exclusively in a 911 and the other is found on every other car known to man. I am sure someone will sell a twist to start kit eventually. I wouldn't be surprised to see that come back in 26.

On the exterior design, I felt they did an awesome job…
but on the interior, it is a step back.
what were they thinking again? They haven’t solved one of the most important problems: the seat pull straps. They are difficult to use and often get stuck. No visual changes based on the videos so far…

Change from twist to start to push to start seems like a poor decision in changing for the sake of changing thing. I understand the removal of the mechanical tach for cost and manufacturing simplicity sake but the ignition is an odd one to me.

the only non bean counter / pure greed reason I can think of eliminating the switch is they have taken start/stop to a new level with the hybrid and a switch would give a false sense that an engine should start when you turn it.
but then again, it's an across the board change even with the non-hybrids isn't it? So greed seems like the most likely reason.

Race Car
It's to meet emissions standards. So even on the GTS, they're running 8psi more, but only makng a couple more ponies because they have to meet Lambda 1, and retard the hell out of timing.

The gaping holes left in the front bumper from removing the lights on the base car look ridiculous! The rear bumper looks too busy for me and I don't care for the new engine cover.

On the plus side, the base / T* could have some excellent tuning potential.
*if they make it.

I understand that's the reasoning but how is BMW giving me 450hp+ on my S58 powered M car today but Porsche can't give me more HP on the base 911? Everyone is on the same emission standards. I am not an expert but something is just not adding up to me.

This is a bean counter special between the gm quality push button start, digital cockpit, and whale mouth gills at the front.
If you don’t want a hybrid, what’s the draw exactly? I honestly don’t know. I showed my partner the new design and she recoiled at the new front end.

This was your chance!!!
Why did you leave the Gillette razor?
Maybe this would have been a good place for more push buttons?
