Just like with the **** to start the car. They will do a throwback and re-introduce it in the future and talk about heritage.

As this is the GTS we are talking about vs GT3, I don’t necessarily see it increasing in value significantly. However, I am confident a well sorted 911 of any variant (especially a manual) will hold its value well over a long period of time.

I believe that the GTS 992.2 manual is eventually announced around February 2025

Bring this thread back up, has there been any update on the 2025 manual transmission?

If your driving enjoyment is tempered by your depreciation concerns then you already can’t afford it. Move on.

Most enthusiast cars appear to depreciate at a lower rate when equipped with a manual. From the listings I've been watching, 22 GTS is holding value very well (certainly attributable to annual 911 price increases). If Porsche fails to offer a manual trans in the future, I suspect those last cars with a manual will duplicate the Ferrari manual vs dual-clutch resale phenomenon ... 2 to 3 times the price of the auto trans.

The pricing will hold well not only as a MT Porsche but a Porsche with a IEC and a MT. The future hybrid cars will always have the battery issue as they age and drivers/collectors/fans either know this now or they will fairly shortly.

There’s the international auto show in Germany next week . As of now- there is no news . And if nothing is said next week, there won’t be . Also dealers were all brought to some mandatory Porsche meeting in the past 2 weeks - typical meetings to go over new product lineup , 4th q sales , etc . I spoke to 3 seperate ones in 3 seperate states and all said there has been no news on anything manual . Especially this so called manual turbo rumor people are spreading . Which essentially is doable but if it does ever happen , turbo or not, it won’t be till 2026 with inventory landing in 27. And wait lists will be flooded with adm like end of the world . Also by that time , the 992.2 will be at the end of its production . By 2027,2028, most new Porsche customers will not only care about a manual but they won’t even know what one is . To satisfy the smalllllllllllll % of us that care , there will always be some special heritage model that will cost an arm and a leg . Sorry to break the bad news but the manual configuration is over as an option . But not dead. There will still be some special variant till one day there won’t . We will be too old to care by then .
