I'm probably in the minority here but at ~200k for a nicely spec'd GTS, I feel that Porsche is inching too close into exotic territory where there are more interesting options for slightly more money.

Buyers in the 100-200K price range are very different from those in the 200k+ price range.

The buyer in the 100-200k range is probably at the very limit of their available budget for a purchase like this where as someone that can afford a 200k+ vehicle can probably also afford a 300-400k toy as well and already has multiple 200k+ vehicles in the garage.

My point being that I think Porsche is beginning to price out their core customer base. If I'm spending 200k+ on a Carrera, I'm probably just going to spend a little more and get into something a bit more special that wears a more exotic badge. I understand the GT and Turbo are also options at that point but with those creeping towards 300k, I just don't see why I wouldn't get into a slightly used Ferrari or push my budget a bit further and get into a 296 GTB.

But I realize this is probably not a popular opinion here on these boards lol

Since I picked up my 992.1 GTS 3 weeks I won't. Hopefully I don't have buyers remorse. I don't think i will.

I have a 992.1 and am happy with it, but I don't care if the 992.2 is hybrid or not if it drives well (and it seems like it will). As an F1 fan, getting the F1 turbo setup actually makes me more likely to get one vs. other hybrid set ups.

Not me. I don't want PDK and I don't need 530hp.
I certainly don't want a 3,600+ lb sports car.

The GTS will sell strongly - might not be a lot of early flippers from the 992.1, and none of the manual 992.1 GTS owners. But it's a technologically advanced car with impressive tech and performance numbers, and its going to sell very well.

Completely agree with the poster above that Porsche has gone a wee bit too upmarket.

Glad I bought my 24 Carrera T.

I was never concerned about the reliability or the performance but automakers these days are hellbent on creating some funky designs.

The GTS here is no exception. They got rid of the sport design in the new GTS. Now its the black lower bumper only and body painted option is not even available. My only nighmare about the car came true
