OK. Well how are they going to put a manual into the Turbo then? Drop the electric motor and use two eTurbos?

so far the original car and driver leak on 992.2 has been accurate, I expect 911s 992.2 with ~ 10 more HP and also with a manual. Lot of fear of the MT going away. No worries

It seems that Porsche is now treating the manual like the NA engine...reserved for GT cars or limited edition trims.

Never fear, Porsche will pull out that 4.0 NA ICE engine with a 6 or 7 speed three pedal, make 500 units with an ungodly price tag that the Dealers will pop another $ 300K on top of, and that's what you will have a shot at for a new one. MEANWHILE, all of us with manuals just watched the value of our cars increase overnight.

No manuals in the 2025 model year, or perhaps later in the year. Nobody at Porsche seems to be saying it won't happen, if anything what they're saying makes me think one will be offered in the Carrera range at some point.

If they can squeeze more profit from isolating the manuals to the GT and special models then they will just do that...

but we can give you Carrera T/S , new variant of the T
450 HP , same 3.0 engine from the T
MT
turbo from 992.1 GTS
and people will salivate over it

I was shocked when I got a call late last November that I could negotiate a trade of my '22 C4S cab for a "bonus" Targa 4S allocation the dealer had just received.
My good fortune seems to have increased (as others here have said) "overnight".

A MT turbo car sounds interesting but I'm more interested in being able to select open air driving rather than brute force. I've gone back and forth between cabs and Targas over the years - only the cab can offer the full top down experience but the Targa performs better for me as "almost a coupe" with the top up. The lack of rearward visibility in the cabs always bothered me a bit.

After going through the Configurator yesterday, our son asked what I would sell the Targa for. I told him it would have to be a number no sane individual would pay.

So your rumor is valid but the exact bhp specs of the S provided multiple times since last September are nonsense?

Again this info is now almost a year old - how are people so convinced that this info does not exist - again there is a lot of planning to design and sell these cars and of course you have to discuss allocations and specs with your buyers (dealers) and of course the first and also the good end customers.

The info does exist. S is coming. These cars are not created overnight.

My 992.1 MT C2S seems more valuable now that I wonder, do I drive it somewhat less to slow the mileage on it as both the cost to replace it and the likelihood of getting another manual mean I am keeping this vehicle long long term….
