I don't think manuals will be coming back in any significant form, perhaps special small-run batches. Why? I see the 992.2 as an Emissions build, one they had to make as Europe has a new law coming for 2027 that will not allow cars to run rich during any part of their driving cycle and a manual is likely to not pass that test. They already have a "no idle" rule which is why we cannot start our cars remotely. Couple that with the fact the electric moto is integrated inside the PDK and I just don't see a three pedal system anymore. I am thinking they will still do limited runs of specialty cars with the 4.2L engine (currently used in the race cars) with three pedal builds because the numbers will be so small they won't affect the CAFE standards for the brand overall and the car will be mostly unobtainable if they do it. Of course all this is just speculation, but if you enjoy a manual trans 911, better hang onto the one you have.
