I just watched the reveal of the new 992.2. I was particularly interested in the GTS as I’ve got the 992.1. While I’m sure they did a great job. I’m very happy with having the last ice engine, the last manual, the last manual tachometer, and the last left-hand side key turn feature. I already can’t use the 473 hp in mine so I can’t imagine what you will do with 540 hp. so I think they made some nice changes but they didn’t make this owner unhappy with my current choice. Happy to hear everyone else’s thoughts.

RAS standard, no more MT. That should decrease the message count on this forum by half.

You are so right. Third pedal will have to change their screen name🤣

I like the new dash configuration much better as it gives many more viewing options and can be seen-especially the navi screen on the dash.
The GTS is creeping up onto Turbo (non S) territory and will be interesting to see how the 992.2 turbo models will be configured.
My guess is the S will be a non hybrid like the base, but will have a manual. Probably with HP increase putting it into the 992.1 GTS range of around 470.

I think its an overall good evolution. The Base car with more HP and bigger brakes, is definitely now a better buy in point than the S I think (I saw no specs on the S in the video) - I think demand for the Base is going to be higher now. The GTS is going to be a $200K+ car with typical options all in.

I don't like the 992.2 GTS either. No analog tach, push start button!!?? They also make it sound like the front active grills are new. New design yes, but ugly. I noticed the cabriolet maintains the wider stance exhaust tips compared to the centered ones on the .2 GTS. I am so glad I have my 992.1. Will be keeping it. If I ever need more HP, there is always the aftermarket route.

I am so....so...so glad I have a 992.1!!!
Things I personally do not like:
1. Analog tach now totally gone. Instrument cluster looks flat, boring now.
2. Push button start, why? Cheap, mass produced like everything else. They can say its like the race car, its also like my wifes Ford SUV, lol - cheapo. What happened 911, keep your distinction with the turn style and heritage?
3. Why change things just for the sake of changing things? For instance, rear light bar and front grill. Unnecessary. Rear looks, I guess ok, but why? Front...some don't like the 992.1, I get it, but this looks even more peculiar on the 992.2.
4. Red button, ok I guess if you want your steering wheel to look like Rudolph the red nosed deer, lol.
5. GTS front vertical grills, with all the cameras on it look....well, Mad Max, out of place, dysfunctional, non-symmetrical, ugh......
6. Hybrid = more power, ok....I get it, but more weight too, plus way-WAY too many new electric motor parts to break....mixed on this, plus more parts to break downstream
Things I personally like:
1. More wheel choices are always good. Do I prefer this design, no, but choices again are welcomed.
2. Like more hp, just not the delivery method.
Sigh.....very sad and disappointing day for me, but I am becoming a old fart...so my kids tell me all the time....so maybe I am the odd one out....I do know if I ever sell my spec'd 992.1, I will be going classic for sure now. Don't like the overall direction of Porsche in regards to the 911.

Another increase in price which I expected. More than I anticipated though.
I swear Porsche has a monkey’s paw for me. I was hoping a more “green” would be offered - something along the lines of Forest, oak, etc. but shade green ain’t it

Standard 2 seater.
2+2 is an option now.
About time that changed.
