Percentage of 992 buyers who select manual transmission?
Is this data that Porsche shares? I did a poll for 911 T owners which is about 75% manual vs 25% PDK (not a surprise). I suspect it might be the opposite for all 992 buyers - does anyone know?

It'll be low. I seem to recall that with the 911 (all versions) the take rate on a manual transmission is something like 5%.

Given that option for MT 911 is limited to T, S, GTS and GT3, perhaps the more germane question is the take rate in each model class.

Which, you may or may not know, is not the real world.

Porsche has said that on the 991.2 70% of GT3s were Manual, and 20-25% in the rest of the lineup....the numbers are probably somewhere in that neighborhood

MT ethusiasts are the vocal minority. Very passionate about their preference and it certainly is evident on this forum. I really do not mean to disparage, itt's just that they have very strong felings and beliefs on the subject. As to the point of this thread, I don't know thee answer but I would guess less than 20-25% of any model where MT is available. Still, I hope they keep the option for those that want it.

The take rate in the U.S. is high enough that Porsche brought back the manual after discontinuing it. The response to Porsche discontinuing the manual was significant. The percentage is lower if you consider global purchases, but the U.S. loves the manual. It is the same with BMW.

If you’re in California, the new law about cars requiring speed tracked GPS that alerts when you’re 10+ MPH over the limit will be enough to make you keep your current car. That requirement will be used for nothing good.
