Some people like flyover country. I’m one of them.
I moved out of California last year, but I’m still a cop there. I like living in Nevada better, but I spend just enough time in California to not miss it when I leave.

Anecdotal evidence but if you do a nationwide search of GT3s for sale, it is ~50/50 pdk/manual.

I’ve got a 992.1 4GTS on order in manual transmission. The only other 911 I’ve ever owned was a manual 991.1 C2S.
I would probably be ok with PDK if they stopped offering manual transmission. But as long as they’re still offering manual transmission, I’m still buying.
I will say, I had the chance to track someone else’s manual 992 GT3 last week, and on a race track, PDK is actually what I would prefer. I felt the manual transmission holds back the actual performance of these cars now, as they’re just so insanely fast. I would also prefer PDK if the car were my daily driver. However, for a weekend car that I’m mostly only driving in the warmer months, I’m taking manual.

this won’t go into effect until 2033 if it does pass

Also with it just being an alert (audible or flashing light) it could probably get coded out

According to Porsche, "More than three quarters of all Porsche 718 and 911 models delivered today are equipped with PDK."

https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2024...911-36059.html

I think manual take rate is very model specific. That press release is setting the stage for the PDK only hybrid 992.2. All signs are pointing to manual trans option relegated to special edition or limited cars, unless they release a 992.2 manual ICE-T.
