I also found out that the camera angle changes when I turn the wheel hard in reverse. Didn't realize that. when I crank the wheel in reverse the angle changes and I can see my license plate numbers.

Yup. Just discovered that. It turns with the car.
So it seems that the red bar is normal. I guess it is a good way to notify the diver that they are watching the view from the rear camera, rather than the front camera.
I'll try to update the chart when I get a chance, and I’ll add a column for Sport Design Bumper, because that seems to be a determining factor.
I just noticed that the red bar appears when the transmission is in reverse and comes off when in drive with the parking cameras enabled. I suspect this is an aide to ensure you don’t inadvertently hit your rear bumper with something that blends in, and so that you are mindful not to scrape the exhaust.
^ That's your front camera in the drive pic, as indicated by the red camera icon at the front of the car. you can click the camera icon at the rear of the car to switch back to the rear camera even while in drive.
