They’ll have a specific manual model, called the 992 M/T, fitted with the 4.0 GT3 engine but with the Carrera trim and suspension. Then again maybe they won’t. 100% chance either way.

I thought we already decided the PDK is a manual in the “why are all manual drivers a$$holes” thread, or whatever it was called.
So really, all 992 are manual and you guys are whining about nothing. 😈

If so my SA has a GT3 touring on order due next month. So yea, some can afford them.
That doesn’t mean all can afford one, but if he can afford a GT3, I would think many others can afford a base model 911. Certainly they can get an allocation for themselves after taking care of their customers first I would think.

Huh? You took my post as money? (Poor guy) I’m saying the SA can’t Aquire them…not afford them. Sorry I stepped on someone’s ego. 🤣🤣
….and how would you ever know what I make?
I make donuts.❤️

It's been established in another thread that many 911 buyers don't possess enough leg strength to depress a clutch pedal or enough arm/hand strength to manually change gears. So it only makes sense that Porsche will sunset the 3 pedal cars in order to avoid the inevitable lawsuits related to leg and arm injuries.

🤦♂️
While both are fairly lite in a 992 too.

" The all new 999 Porsche 911 will feature Porsche's state of the art A.I. driver. The new A.I. driver has been created using thousands of hours of race car driver data that can out perform any human. Because driving the car yourself is pointless, we have removed all occupant inputs and optimized the space for scrolling your feed and enjoying virtual/mixed reality experiences while the A.I. drives the car better than you ever could. Both of my Targa GTS’s are manuals and will be in my stable for a long time. I had a 992 Turbo S and didn’t like it or the PDK. The 6 speed in my former 991.2 GT3 was epic. The 7M is good but nowhere near the 6M. The 7M has a resistance between every shift that the 6M doesn’t have.

I think the stock 7MT shifter feels like it has zero resistance already - Iike I'm moving a joystick. Interesting you would describe the 6MT as having even less resistance than the 7MT. That doesn't make the 6MT sound all that fun. I don't want a smooth, effortless manual like a Honda shifter. I like a more positive, direct, notchier feeling shifter. It's why many people switch out the stock shifter for a Numeric Racing short shifter - even those with 6MT GT3s.

One of the best shifter/transmission combos I’ve ever owned were the 6 speeds in my 981 Boxsters.
This is my 3rd 911 with a Numeric shifter. Marked improvement over stock IMO.
The only GT3 I’ve driven was an unsold 2008 997 that I was offered at $8k off MSRP. (Folks may recall sales were “soft” in ‘08/‘09).
I don’t remember the shifter on that car - just the bone crushing suspension. I ended up buying another 993.
