I’ll be taking delivery of a Carrera T in September after seven years of ownership of a Shelby GT 350. I’ve absolutely loved owning the car, from the sound, the power and the track performance it’s all been amazing. If there are any people who have made that
switch, I would love to hear your feedback.

if there’s one thing I’ve learned about cars is that one never truely replaces another. There will be elements you miss. If you really love it, keep it and get the t (as long as you have space)Neither is going to depreciate so much it would be worth making a wrong call. Sell the one you like least after a few months.

Probably true. If that’s a big deal to OP it’s clearly a downgrade in terms of sound unless you uncork it with an exhaust

 

I am an absolute long term Porsche fan but decided back in 2016 to get a GT350, which I tracked heavily for more than 4 years. All I can say is that Ford did an amazing job developing this car. Engine, sound, transmission, handling and braking made this an amazing track car for me and believe for many other HPDE enthusiasts. But reliability struggles and the inability from Ford to fix engine and transmission issues, which resulted in a track incident, made me decide to switch back to Porsche and get a Cayman 718 GT4, PDK.
The GT4 is an equally terrific track car but does it differently, if the GT350 is a steak knife, the GT4 can be described as a scalpel. It just does things more refined and precise.
But at the track, I definitely missed the sound track of the GT350. After 3 years of GT4, I moved on and just got a new 992 C2S for a little more than a month now. I am just loving it and it feels so good to be back into a 911. I am also happy I choose for a manual as was the GT350. You will love the switch. The exhaust is one of the things miss the most. I went from a gt350 to a 992.1s and definitely still miss my mustang. The 911 is a better car all around, but the sound of the gt350 is something else.

I have a 2019 Ford Shelby GT350 in my garage. I bought it new on 7-5-2019 (ordered it six months before). The FPC engine is awesome.

I have an allocation for a 2025 911 Turbo.

 

I get it. The 911 is a better car but the sound and emotion of the gt350 is better.

 

Always thought the gt350 is an awesome car. as much as I'm loving my T for one year now, I still dont see myself getting rid of my c63, I had to make room for both. totally different experiences.

 

The GT3/GT3 RS reminds me a lot of the GT350. With an exhaust, the high RPM, naturally aspirated GT3 engine is similar to the GT350. Fantastic sound building to 9.000 RPM's. IMO, the GT3 is the Porsche version of the GT350 and it's an incredible experience.

You will miss the sound of the GT350, but for me the 911 is more fun to drive. IMO, it feels more tossable and is more responsive. I would have kept my GT350, but I am in a condo with limited parking . Ford really nailed it with the GT350. Awesome car.

 

I'll say very nice views for the CA guys, I have no beautiful ocean views, but I have 6 Gap mountain roads and lower taxes.

No doubt about lower taxes and drives.. I grew up in Athens GA and lived in the Atlanta area for years.

I have been out in the Bay Area for 15+ years. There are some incredible roads/drives out here too. Big elevation changes etc.
