Does a tow hook license plate mount block the parking sensor on a standard bumper?

The parking sensor seems to be positioned almost below the tow hook in photographs. (I haven’t taken delivery of my car yet, so can’t verify for myself).

I found that mine was blocked, but with very careful arrangement I could make it work. The one you posted is the exact one I have.

That said I only use it on long trips or to get inspected.

I have never been pulled over in my 992.

On the main thread for this topic, there is a supplier that relocates the plate to a safe sot.

Check out Rho plate, it has an offset arm to clear the parking sensor when installed into the tow hook. I like it for my Turbo S.

The Rho tow hook adapter allows adjustment so that license plate clears parking and radar sensors on my 992.

Carbonio centers the plate and has a separate version for ACC equipped cars.

Good to know. Standard RHO plate adapter with or without the extender? Do you have any pics of the install on your 992?

In PA now so no front plate. In VA had a tow hook plate that covered the sensor. It came with circular stick on sponge buttons that covered the sensor. The buttons absorb the sound.

Is it my eye, or is that not level? Does it have to be tilted like that to avoid the sensor?

Rho plate does work, just need to adjust it to clear the sensor
