Tire: patch or replace?

Thanks for this, I did not know that. Always thought they would patch, if possible, and was one of the reasons I have always turned down the wheel and tire insurance. The other being that I could buy nearly 8 new tires for the cost of the insurance!

dealer replaced the tire at no additional cost to me ($587 labor and materials) as I had tire and wheel insurance with porsche through said dealer. FYI the coverage through porsche dealer covers unlimited tires. Where I am, tire/wheel ins is a must.

I'm on my third replacement rear in a year.

Don't forget damaged wheels.

One wheel replacement and it covers the cost of your insurance.

Just something to think about.
