I would drop the dash cam so fast if that’s the problem.
They should give a option
"This component is delaying your build, would you like to proceed or wait until this part becomes available" that would be a sick option lol

one more theory is that it could be low parts count since 992.1 will switch over to 992.2 soon (July/Aug) so they dont have parts in surplus.

another rpossiclitiy is as one mentioned, didnt pass inspection. they inspected the complete car and perhaps saw something as per build is missing or not right. but that should account to 1 in 100 cars to be missed (Germans are a bit detailed)

hope all this sorts out. when the car comes y'all be happy and have a million care free miles in it!

I have the dashcam too and wasn’t delayed. I have most of his parts, including the red interior and a couple more.
and mine just finished manufacturing yesterday right on schedule and departed today for port. So I don’t think it’s the dash cam.

I haven’t looked back over all the builds here but wonder if it might be lightweight glass? i think a few of us are ant’s but saw a few others here with other trim levels. I know the glass is under a recall and the T board is filled with windshield and side glass cracking spontaneously or while being tested for the recall. Wondered if they are working a fix on in process vehicles. Probably will never know!

Its not the aero kit. My in prod date for the GTS was April 29th. Got completed on May 3rd and is now at the port, as of yesterday.

Full 992.1 production in July 2024. Zuffenhausen production is idle for the month of August, summer vacation. 992.2 production should begin in September 2024.

I’ll check the next couple days and see what happens.
I have a Cayenne that was shows as heading to Emden on 4/29 arriving at port 5/3 (today is 8th)...it does seem a back up on transport from factory to port...

It's kind of crazy that people wait in line for an allocation, which gives them unique visibility into their production schedule (rather than building to inventory), and then it like "surprise we ran out of seats" or "whoops there are no rail cars available".....
I'm in the wrong business.

Seems like Porsche's new motto should be "we're not happy until you're not happy!"

My car still sits in Emden, several boats have passed, no joy.

Has anyone considered the possibility that the gateway chip issue is still an ongoing problem? My best guess is that it probably is.

I don't think that would cause issues on a build that started April 3rd.
