Does anyone here have this color on their 992? Would you mind posting a picture?

 

There are a GT3 and a GT3RS that I’ve seen in that color but I don’t have pics handy. They are both 992s.

In the second and third photo all I see is an aubergine . At least the colour is true to its name!

I feel like everyone thinks a color is awesome just because it’s PTS. I don’t feel that way about this color.

 

No comment on the colour, but you are 100% correct. Most Porsche guys go crazy when they hear pts.

 

I think most Porsche guys recognize PTS is what it is. It's the new lot that go gaga over those three letters.

This color too closely resembles the eggplant emoji.

 

First picture reminds me of a very bright Viola Metallic which I love.

 

In 1972, I bought a new Alfa GTV 2000 in Aubergine, seems to me the identical hue as the 992 in the photos. Maybe that’s why I think it looks so good!

 

My little brother’s first car was a 1972 914 that was this color. His license plate was AUBRGNE. I think Porsche people appreciate PTS and get more excited over it because they understand the cost and the PITA associated with getting it, which adds bias.

 

It’s just color that looks like someone messed with the tint settings on my monitor.

 

To me, not all PTS is equal. There are shades of gray and black which I have little interest in, PTS or not. Seeing Porsches in fun colors is what interests me and it just so happens that many of those fun colors eventually become PTS.
