^^^^^^^Great wife and fun cars! Tough to go wrong there.
You ought to move here to Florida and she can track all year.

My wife prefers her X7, but isn't shy about taking the 911 or S4 (both manual out) when she feels like it.

She doesnt really care about cars but loves experience of being in the 911 with the roof down on a nice day. So I don’t have to go it alone. She’s driven it but thinks I’m too stressed out when she drives so it’s not worth it. She’s right, she’s a terrible driver and I get stressed even when she drives her own car.
We have 3 cars: 911, XC90 (both mine) and my wife's Audi e-tron GT. She misses her Macan and an engine. The e-tron GT is crazy fast and hot looking. She used to have a 335i manual and misses that.

Prior to the 992 I had a 997 C4S cab in manual. She liked to drive that because it was older and didn't draw as much attention or worry about hurting it. I tell her to drive the 911 but she rarely does, and we rarely go anywhere in it. So mostly I enjoy it on my own. Her loss.

Having about 4,000 miles on the 911 I can count the number of times I have driven alone on one hand. I enjoy the enjoyment that my wife and I get more than either of us ever thought we would. Driving alone was less enjoyable, we legit laugh out loud every time we get to drive. Dude during a launch control on Sunday she said she literally felt weightless during the second gear push and squealed. This thing never disappoints.

I've been married almost 20 years. I'm almost always driving alone on one hand.

And with almost 13k miles on the car, almost all those miles are alone too.

We are almost to 22 years married and never had a purpose sports car until last year. So its like we found it together, I'm lucky she still enjoys it.

Ha I never liked to go shopping but we use the 911 for it whenever we can. We actually spend more time together now than before.

Funny story: on Saturday we were heading home form the other side of town and were both a little tired from the week and after lunch. we were going home to take a nap and on the way ended up heading toward one of our favorite city roads with a long 270' sweeping corner. Just so happened that we met a pair of Ducatis street fighters on the same path, traffic opened up and presented a perfect situation to push through the corner. They were right behind us and heard me down shift, we all three pushed through the entire corner and through an extra gear or two. I pulled away in the corner and on the straight!!

MY oh MY!! We were filled with the rush and joy of this capable car and needless to say could not sleep at all. I legit wasn't tired anymore, like a double espresso

Some very understanding wives out there, and I'm grateful to also be in that club as well.

My wife drove a manual when we met. That car went away nearly 30 years ago, and she's had an automatic since.

Until a few months ago!

She just got a manual 2 door Wrangler. While I have put more miles on it than she has so far, she's fully back in the swing of rowing her own. Now when the weather is bad, or it's too hot for my winters (like now), our it's just a short hop....it's the Jeep. Always a manual. Loving it.

I'm a woman who only drives manuals and I am probably as car obsessed as anyone on here. My gateway drug into Porsche was a Cayman I saw driving by a dealership lot. Now I'm building my 3rd 911 and I'm driving my husband crazy with changing my build every other thing. All of my women friends do not like my car (too fast, too low, too bumpy on the road)-- and ask me why I didn't get a BMW or an SUV (two things that are completely out of my vocabulary--although my husband has a Porsche SUV that I never drive).

@CamsPorsche : "My wife isn't a fan of my golf passion though...just how it takes time away from family so I'm cognizant of that now and make way more effort to limit how much I play."

That's not going to help your game LOL. Some things are a lot more important.

@22992: "My wife hates all things that make me happy. 😆"

I would guess that my now ex-wife continues to hate the fact that nearly everything makes me happy now. Every person's life situation is different, so the foregoing is not meant as advice. My best to you!

It was my wife’s dream car growing up. That’s why we have one. It also happens to be her car. lol. I get to clean it and gas it up for her. I drive the macan.
