This is how the car was shipped to me. +9 seems like it might be way high.

Curious what others are using for tire pressure. Also, do you change it for winter vs summer temps?

Mine was delivered 9+ high all the way around. I set PCM to Summer Tires and Comfort settings which per PCM is 29f and 32r. Adjust pressures when tires are cold.

Edit: My 992 is a T with factory 20”f and 21”r and SPASM as std eq.

In your owner's manual, or if you downloaded the owner's manual on the app, you will find a table that looks like this under "tire pressures"



for whatever reason, cars get delivered with full load pressures. No idea why. But what you have is set for full load. So unless you plan on driving it with 3 passengers and some heavy cargo in the frunk, you probably want 33/39 pressures on 20/21 tires.

there are more options for PASM etc, those are like 1 more PSI in the rear. Hence my rec for 39.

There are also "comfort" pressures that you may like even more. Get into your manual. There's lots of good info you will need to know if you are new to Porsche.

I am less concerned about comfort and mainly want to make sure I am not prematurely reducing the life of the tires while still getting the best performance.

On the street you won't perceive any difference in "performance" or wear while enjoying a better ride quality.

I run 33/38 on my 4 GTS.

I find comfort tire pressures unstable at >120mph speeds.

Comfort settings. Semi warm tires.

i have mine set to comfort but every time i take it to the dealer they change it to full. aside form the psi change, what is the difference between comfort and full suppose to do?

makes sense to me and is probably a policy. The dealer does not know how you use the car and to be on the safe side they set it to full. Imagine they don’t and you get in an accident and the findings are that tires were under pressured for its use…easy to lower the pressure to your liking after you get it from dealer.

From the Porsche Manual, here are the tire pressures for regular and comfort. I’m set at TPMS Comfort and 30/32 and the ride comfort is significantly better than the higher settings.

No reason for the service tech to change your TPMS settings. Inform your service advisor what pressure you want it set to within the guidelines.

at least here in California , I always tell service writer to state on repair order :

" owner does not want tire pressures checked or adjusted " , to absolve them of state mandate to do that , even for gas station smog checks or for example bringing in for just a software recall

otherwise , as an example , a carefully home garage set 34/37 cold psi comes back ... 29,31 fronts and 34, 35 rears
or 41, 43 fronts, 47, 49 rears ... thanks for nothing !

They always do that to me but surprisingly I went in with 29/32, had all 4 tires replaced with new MPS4S, and surprisingly they were all set to 29/32.

I ended up raising it to 33/37 and that works fine on new tires with lots of tread.
