Default Plaid interior, 2020 992 GTS

in the process of having the center sections of my seats, removed and custom plaid material sewn in, in addition to the doors has anyone else done this on a new 992? This is the pattern I will use both front seat and back for the gulf blue Porsche plaid that i’m having installed!

This is the gulf blue Porsche plaid that we’ve chosen

This is where it will be applied on the door card and on the seats, front and back

Looks great!

I’ve only seen the custom inserts on the GT3 buckets. Few guys in UK that do them.

Looking forward to seeing your finished seats and panels.

I would let someone like NW Crafted do that. They do some great looking interiors.

Can't wait to see the end results! Please share pictures when thy are done.

Can you post (or PM me) who is doing the work for you? I'm always interested in high quality shops and I see you are in Spring Lake... I grew up spending my summers there (and then eventually in Sea Girt).

Where did you source the fabric from? How much is this going to cost? Love the idea.

what a small world, are you still in New Jersey? There is an amazing shop. If you send me a private message I’ll share it with you. They’re in Sayreville. He is recovering my sunvisors to get rid of the hideous stickers, he is changing the stitching on my shift boot from white to red, he is putting the custom plaid inserts in the front and rear seat center sections of matching OEM heritage stitching, he is upholstering the center armrest in leather, with red stitching with a Porsche logo embossed, and he is putting the plaid in the door cards. That, and a full custom job in the trunk which he wants to do for a photo shoot, will be around $4000 and the fabric cost me $1200.

People send work to him from all over the country. He was referred to me by my Porsche dealer.

Thank you very much! https://relicate.com/ This is where I got the fabric from, it is gulf, Blue I must warn you it is a very limited run and once it’s gone, it is gone forever although the company has many other great alternatives. I liked it because it’s going to be extremely difficult to find very quickly.

Is this car a long term keeper for you? If not, how do you think the custom work will impact resale? I could see it increasing the value of the car but haven’t looked into it.
