I have two sets of seats to do - he's a long ways away, but looks like amazing quality . . . might consider sending them to him if this turns out as good as it looks . . .

Project PLAID Complete!
I am so happy to say that the project is complete, Lux automotive did a spectacular job.

To recap, front and rear center sections and door cards replaced in OEM pattern with Porsche Gulf Blue Plaid (original material)
drivers and passenger door, armrest, and center section, reupholstered from Alcantara to leather
stitching on shift boots switched to red, red center section stitched into wheel, sun-visors covered in Alcantara, hiding hideous, yellow stickers, a little bit of flare in the trunk, and the script on the back changed to just GTS I could not be happier

I bought seven, there’s not much of this fabric left so I wanted to have extra just God forbid I needed it. I still have about 3 yards. I’m going to squirrel away if I ever need it
But if you do it, and you don’t use a fabric that is discontinued, you can do it with about 4 yards

I've been looking at patterns, specifically tartans, and the choices are daunting.

If you want to give me an idea, my wife happens to be very very good at this, and she picked the fabric and the color scheme for our car. That may be a turn off to you, lol anyway, I’d be happy to suggest.
Get something that you think is going to age with the car. I was drawn to this because it was an original Porsche pattern from the 60s and 70’s. I did it in the OEM pattern stitching. It looks factory and I’m happy with it and honestly that’s all that matters.
so far, if I show it to 10 people, eight of them fall over it, one can’t understand why I would spend the money on a new car and one will tell me politely that it looks like a skirt!
😅
make yourself happy!
