Sadly the crappy fast food from the States is somewhat edible overseas. It’s only in the US where it’s completely legal to serve artificial chemical poison to people passed off as “food”.

Not to derail the thread, but this is true. Even when I go to Windsor, Ontario, looking at the ingredients of snacks, they don’t allow the BS that we do in the states.

I remember resorting to McDonald's once in Switzerland and a combo meal cost $12 while the same back home was $5 (back in the day). I was annoyed but was amazed when I got a Big Mac that was exactly like in the picture. Turned out to be the best McDonald's I ever had. Maybe cause I got a pilsener with it.

There's been so many 992.2 threads that to have one derailed is a blessing. And to your point, try KFC in New Zealand. It's passable, not like the greasy mess you get in the US. Oh, and check out use by dates on 'fresh' milk. Tells you all you need to know.
