If it's not exactly what you want, decide first if it's the car you want now. I agree with the other member who says - Buy the car, not the deal.

If you seriously want that car go down there and negotiate to drive it away today. You can negotiate the ADM down, try but maybe not to zero. For most here (discussing 6-figure fun cars) a small amount of $$$ is not worth waiting indefinitely longer. Don't let a relatively little money vs. the car price get in the way of immediate happiness (unless you are one of those folks who REFUSE any ADM on principle, then continue to wait).

They would sell at MSRP plus a +1 Maintanence.

Just go there. A live body in the showroom gets a lot more accomplished than a phone or email discussion.

I ended up buying a Targa 4S there yesterday and traded my C2S.

Trust me when I tell you that the deal was a whole lot nicer once I was physically in the showroom.

They want to move inventory.

Yeah, well I drove 2600 miles in 2 days in 4 ways. While the chair doesn’t change, the age, individual characteristics and pre-existing conditions of the driver do. I now have 18 ways.

Walks into one dealer...'welp, I guess there are no new more 911's in America now'.

There are seven for sale within a ten mile radius of me in SoCal.

Unbelievable.

Another dealer I went to wanted me to buy a used car from her then trade it in to get an allocation. So it seems like there are places that do funny business. However, I believe that there are many reasonable dealers who will just sell you the car sticker price. In reading a few forums, it also seems that Carrera T allocations are pretty commonplace. You probably just have to check a few places.

What dealer in NJ?

Did you hear that Matthew McConaughey took his Lincoln to the dealership after it couldn’t make left turns?

It could only go all right, all right, all right!

Yes, I am not in agreement with the Title of this Thread. There are 22 NEW 2024 911s with-in a 500 mile radius of my Zip Code. So a fair amount of NEW 911 on dealer lots.
I sent my build to my dealer and had an allocation (Commission Number & Build date) the same day - At MSRP with FREE PSMP PLUS 2, yet had to buy their Front PPF at $3900 & Ceramic Coating (Car & Rims) at $1500. So a wash to back to MSRP.

There are more 911's allocation coming available in the US every day. Do a little leg work and you can find one at MSRP and have the car built with-in 6 months.

Beauty of a spec - almost exactly what I'm looking for except 2022+, so I can get Android Auto and the updated PCM. Price is good at $131k as well!

Everyone wants a deposit to just get on a list that might get you a spot in a year or so. I was targeting a GTS but might be too old to drive by the time an allocation comes up! C2S or C4S would be fine as an alternate...pretty much the same situation.
I found a new car (C4S)at a dealer in So.Cal (I'm in the Bay Area) that I liked, but they wanted $15K ADM on an already $188K car. Not gonna do that. They're also very reluctant to sell to someone out of the area.
I respect all of you that waited for 2 years or more to get your cars, but I'm more the instant gratification type. Not a good type to be in what still appears to be a crazy low supply high demand market.
Trying to figure out what I do next and will enjoy my SC and 993 in the meantime.
You have an SC and a 993? First world problems then! But yes you should be able to find a dealer that can ship to you and you can buy a new car with no ADM. Somebody will offer it. No reason nowadays to pay ADM for a Carrera of any type.

”All” and “99%” are pretty narrow statements. Some and most might be more accurate. In San Jose CA dealer there are a few new cars available in the showroom. Not every car produced is a customer order. We watched painfully waiting on our Targa 4S allocation for 18 months as a few pre configured Targa GTS hit the showroom last year several times. Not abundance of inventory, but some cars do come through and are available.

lol, making some generalizations there huh? It all takes a submit form on Porsche site to get info. And no 99% of the cars on Porsche finder are not called for. There is ton of available cars that are coming to the dealers, all you need to do is secure one. That is it. Put deposit and pick up when it arrives. Tons of cars all over the us are available right now.

I've both bought and sold several cars at CJ's Fresno dealership as well as serviced them there and I recommend them, they're one of the good guys. Actually just sold them my S6 last week if anyone is looking for an ultra-low miles perfect condition C8 S6, amazing daily driver.
