huh? "No manual has this feature.." I don't savvy what you mean or what your concern is then.

I had it on my 2021 and totally forgot about it. When I picked up my new GTS recently I definitely had a WTF moment…

I am in the same boat as OP. I didn’t realize that the 18-way seats and comfort access on MY 24 only came with a manual steering column adjustment.

Many of the supply chain issues have eased and this makes a big difference when there are multiple drivers in the household and/or car is used as a daily driver.

If I recall correctly, in 2023 Porsche reduced the price of the option by 200 to "compensate" for the lack of an electric adjustable steering wheel.

Apparently no one told the car:

It used to but then stopped. I'm planning to have the dealer look into this the next time the car goes in.

Mine does sometimes and doesn't most of the time. I finally just deactivated it. It's hard to imagine that there really is still a chip shortage. Most likely, Porsche continues to sell cars faster than they can build them, so why should they care? There are many electronic gremlins in these cars, it's probably good that the steering column is manual so there is one less place for the bugs to infest.

That's weird, or maybe not. It's a Porsche after all.....

If you order a Turbo today, this is the description of what comes with the 18 way seats:

Interesting, on the T it does not include "adjustment of steering column" and I wonder when they took it out.

I’m kinda in the same boat as you guys. The 992 has been out a while, and I knew that the automatic steering adjustment was an available feature, having seen it in the Configurator previously.

However, I ordered my car in November, not realizing this option had been take out since the last time I noted it. I added the Premium Package and 18-way seats to my build, confident that the automatic steering adjustment would be included in there somewhere.

So I didn’t realize the option had actually been removed, until I read this thread! 🤷‍♂️

my 2024 is manual as well... pretty sure they all are now so surprised to see that maybe Turbos get the power column. Not a big deal for me but if you were set on comfort access I can see why you'd be pissed. Basically a worthless feature if the wheel doesn't move out of the way.

I have a 2023 Carrera S built in October 2022. When I placed my order in July 2022, it was clearly communicated the electric steering column was not part of the 2023 for the Carrera, S and GTS models. Porsche did keep the electric adjustment for the Turbo and Turbo S.

To help assuage folks concerns, I have had the car for over a year and really do not miss the feature. I do have comfort access so the seat does move back when exiting the car and back to seating position when getting into the car. I am the only driver.
