1/43 Scale 992 Base/T/S
Good morning (and take two)!
What it is: If we get enough interest, a well-regarded company may produce a run of diecast models that are very accurate. They usually will make runs of 1000 pieces, so we'd have to see if we have enough interest/committment in moving forward. If so, I can gather a list of interest and submit to them (and publish the company info and ordering process). If not, we can let it lie and won't drive this person (awesome by the way) nuts in the interim. I was part of this for the F87 M2 Comp over on the Bimmerforums board and would like to see if we can get enough interest here to have another run done for the 992.1 coupes (that aren't the Turbo, Targa and GTS models that are everywhere (or the cheap "toy" versions). My M2C models are very high quality and would expect the same here.) I figured mostly only enthusiasts are nuts (like me) and have interest in this and it isn't inexpensive... figure around $65-100ea is best guess at this point.
We can pick two remaining color choices with option of Titanium or Silver wheel finish. The wheel selected is the "S" wheel as that can be silver on base or S as well as Titanium on the T. All interiors will be black with a manual transmision. Bodyshells are slick tops (so you'll have to paint your glass or carbon roofs on or use a decal). I'm waiting to hear back if the side decal(s) can also be specified individually. The rear badging will be "911" vs. the various model-specific versions... however, sometimes this too can be customized depending on order demand.
The first option (selfishly!) is: White with Titanium Wheel. This should cover (close enough) white, chalk and ice grey paints. I've included in the poll to get counts, but this will be one of the three choices!
What should options 2 and 3 be? A red to account for GR/Carmine/Ruby? A Gentian blue? Silver? Grey (Agate/Aventurine/Arctic)? For those with a PTS or rarer color, you could always pick one of the final three and order a paint pen in your desired color! If there's a close 4th, I will submit but make no promises on availability.
On the poll - I've listed several colors with silver and Titan options. These are the basic colors available across the base/T/S range. Please only answer the poll if you have genuine interest and desire to commit to the cost involved. I think this will include your username, so that should be sufficient to gauge interest, but "like" this post too if you want me to keep in contact.
This is a long shot, but an awesome forum member at bimmerforums was able to pull this off, so I'm attempting to replicate.
Have a great day!
ps - please make sure you drop your name via like or a post in this thread as I don't see the names in the Poll... looks like I messed it up again or am just not finding where that data is.

I voted for Gentian Blue with silver wheels. Would love to see Carrera Classic style wheels and a Mojave Beige interior. —PSPorsche

Can you post pics of your F87 M2 Comp that this co. made? Thanks.

I'd do a 1/18 scale 911 Carrera T in Ruby Stone exterior, black with racing yellow deviated stitching interior, and the standard Carrera T wheels in Agate Grey with the Aero Kit 😀
Probably too bespoke for this group buy, but I'm interested if it was possible 😉

This was the closest I could find to my color. They call it bright metallic. It's made by MiniChamps

Good evening.
I've heard from several asking for 1/18. This isn't impossible, but it's $300 (in euro) to start... We may be able to get to about 5-6 colors, but we're still pretty much stuck with S wheels (albeit Titan, silver and probably black) and standard bumpers front/rear. However, at this price point, some "customization" is possible on a case-by-case basis with additional costs incurred to the individual. There's a smaller run of around 500 on the larger scale as well, so the threshold may be easier to be met.
If this is something you all prefer, what's the best way to gather interest? (~75 on the 1/43 so far, IF only those interested participated as the first post requested!)
Send me a PM? For me to start another poll? Like this particular post? I defer to you all who have more knowledge on such things. Hoping we can get this done. (1/18 scale attached below to show higher level of detail)
1/18 (note - windows and hood don't open like on toy models)
Tried to get interior - but my photo skills still suck, even with my daughter's photobox (and you're seeing a reflection of the crinkle-finish silver top of the photobox in the window reflection... couldn't figure out how to lose it!

1/18 would be awesome but I don't see how you're gonna get 500 people to bite.
