Default Window roll down issue

Hi all,

Merry x-mas!!

I have an issues with the auto roll down function when unlocking the car and opening the driver side door.

In my case the window goes down, but it rubs minimally on the textile roof on this side.

The passenger side is perfect and not having this.

Does anyone know how and whether the position of the door window height can be adjusted on the 992?

For example, like 0.1 inch downwards after opening!

Thanks upfront

I had (have?) the opposite where the driver's window would go down and stay down. Seems to have a mind of its own..

You have a cab or Targa? There was another member that posted pictures of wear to their Targa top from this issue. I know the Auto up/down can be calibrated to their full stops by the user but I don't think the limits of the small scroll up/down (for opening and closing the door) can be calibrated by the user. Definitely take it to the dealer.

Mine intermittently doesn’t go down far enough. That or it goes back up early. I’m not sure. But I’ve had a number of times that the door wouldn’t close because the window was up too high. I had to lower it with the button, close the door, and then raise it. But that sounds like a different issue.

Thank you for your reply. I’ve seen that thread but there was no answer to it. Mine is a a targa, too! I thought I could ask here more before going back to the dealer for calibration. Maybe someone here had the same and can report , how the dealer fixed it ! Thanks again

that sounds like the same calibration issue. Did you fix it or did this happened just randomly?

Generally it resets itself. If/when it does not, I'll call the dealer. As great as the customer service is here, I just don't think these are the right people to advise me on a DIY fix.

I’ve had this happen twice on my targa passenger door. No solution and not a consistent problem.

here it is consistent. That’s why I think it needs to be calibrated and there must be a way.

Well it took me longer , but today I went to my dealer and they fixed it. It’s a simple window calibration and now it’s not touching the fabric anymore. I’m happy
