Yes I would pending a test drive.
Even Ferrari has gone hybrid so it is not that big of a deal.

It all depends as my motto is no manual, no sale.

I think you meant “More allocations for us beta testers”. I appreciate those of you who buy the first model year of anything. I prefer to let others debug the new technology and systems. I reserve judgment on the hybrid 911 until I see what exactly it is, how it performs and its reliability, maintenance and recall records. I wouldn’t rely on anything in this very entertaining thread full of hearsay, rumor, internet guesses and speculation to decide whether to make a 992.2 purchase or not. But, ask me on May 28, 2025.

Like many, I don’t need to be in the first wave and happy to see where things land but I also know if I want anything NEW from Porsche in the near future, I really won’t have a choice. On top of the equation, more and more manufacturers will be going this way for most of the cars many of us want regardless so you either buy used or hold on to what you have.

Yep and that’s why I grabbed a 992 S and should be delivered in June. But back to the the question, my answer is YES, I would theoretically buy a hybrid after I know the kinks are basically worked out if I like everything else about the car. Curious where prices will drop once all models roll out so that may be another factor.

K, I’m an old traditionalist when it comes to P-cars. I started with a new ‘65 356SC & stepped up ( ? ) to a ‘70 911T. A few in between, including a Turbo, but the journey will end in a na 991.1. I unquestionably appreciate the increased technology & most “upgrades” with every update. If I was younger, I might try the new hybrid, assuming I did not have to give up the current car.
As I understand the initial releases, the hybrid system in this car adds about 60 lbs & 90 hp to the front wheels. No charging required and priced between the GTS & Turbo. With the cosmetic tweaks, the vertical slats are gone, this is an enticing car. What is there NOT to like?

What releases? That’s my point…..a rational person cannot make a decision until they know what the 992.2 actually is. I don’t know whether I like it or hate it. Everyone is making purchase decisions based on internet hearsay, speculation, rumor and gossip. Porsche has not announced, released or confirmed anything.
Everyone "knows" the price increase, the weight , the limited configurability etc etc already.... and have made their decision on it before ANY facts have emerged

Others are just fine with an electrified 911 and that's more than ok. I'm certain it will perform well or they would not have developed the tech. You have tradistionalists and enthusiasts and they are likely always to see things diffrently on this topic.
