This is the part where I would normally suggest "Have you checked for prior related conversations via the search function, because there are many", but I won't because someone will rip me a new one.

@asunnyhero help me out.. an infrequent poster walks in an asks a question that has countless threads on the topic. What's wrong with politely suggesting the 'search' feature to find related conversations? A little 'self service' for frequent topics would go a long way to removing a lot of noise from the board. What am I missing, and why is this 'galling'?

It’s a free country and everyone is entitled to respond in the way they want within the bounds of polite discourse.
