Not impressed by a soulless 8,000 lbs road destroying people killing cyber truck. Body count on this will be significant. Speed limit for these overweight EVs should be based on kinetic energy to limit the carnage.

It’s going to be available in one, two and three motor versions with price and weight reflecting the added motors for approx 6.5 and 5 something and 2.7 times for 0-100. At 6,880lbs. I can’t imagine that size and weight with that highest HP and torque and at those speeds, just stupid. It won’t take much for it to get away from you but perhaps it’s got enough nannies to prevent that.

Not my thing. I’ll stick to a car that can handle the power in a safe and controlled fashion while being able to stop, turn or maneuver, Hell.I will probably need get out of those things ways when they go sideways or I’ll get flattened.
not to mention the styling. Urgh!!!

I foresee a lot of people getting into trouble trying to keep that thing on the right path when they let it go on city streets, pickup drivers can be over confident already.

Even the diehard Tesla fans know it’s stupid to compare cybertruck to a low-trim 911

but let’s cut Tesla some slack. They need all the marketing they can get. Preliminary reactions suggest cybertruck will be a failure due to poor range and high price. I recall Elon said the cybertruck was a mistake but they were too far into development to stop

I have a C2S and I have a BMW i4 EV. That BMW will come real close to the 992 . . . in a straight line, On anything other than a straight course the weight of the EV's Batteries are a serious penalty on the BMW (Ek=1/2MV2) Frankly, both cars have far more acceleration than is needed on the street. But I have them for vastly different reasons. The BMW is my Daily. It's convenient, it's comfortable and it's quite efficient. My Porsche is not convenient, but it is comfortable, it's not really that efficient (but much better than I'd expected). Oh, and it's a hell of a lot of fun to drive, just to drive, there doesn't really need to be any other reason.
IMHO conceptually, Tesla's are computers first and then they are cars. FWIW, I like vehicles that are cars first, that use computers.
As WillyDap's post implied, has also been mentioned in Porsche's Advertising . . . . . see below:
.

I often find the tesla live streams pretty entertaining, usually due to unintended humor. I was watching the feed live yesterday and laughed out loud when I recognized the T in the drag race, to the point where I missed the reveal of the second 992 on the trailer.

It a compliment of sorts... of all the sports cars they could have chosen it had to be a 911

From a friend of mine that saw it in person at a debut in SoCal, you won't even be able to find a parking space big enough for it.
He also noticed a lot of "gaps" between body panels.

Interesting that they chose not to put it up against the Hummer.

Yep. Build quality is like a lot of Teslas….missing.

But as someone from Top Gear best described Musk’s Cyber Truck - “You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig”.
