Never seen a thread with driving playlists, etc. so thought I'd start a thread where folks can share playlists. I tend to cycle through electronica, 80s, and psychedelic classic rock (Pink Floyd and such). Here is one of my recent favs...
Maybe it's 'cause I'm old, but I don't stream music. I have a carefully curated collection of (at the moment) around 3,500 songs on my phone. I have a smart playlist that holds the 150 least recently played songs, and I just play that in random order. Every time I plug my phone in at home, the songs I've listened to get removed from the playlist and are replaced by an equal number of songs that I haven't played in a long time. So I'm always hearing "fresh" songs, and because I have carefully chosen all the songs, they're always something I'm happy to hear.
I have Spotify and therefore have access to millions of songs-unlike the days of CDs where I would load up 6 discs and play from them.
I have very eclectic playlists ranging from:
* favorite oldies from the 50s and 60s-I am old enough to have heard this music when it was first released
* 70s and 80s favorites
*individual artists and my favorite songs from them which includes diverse music such as Leonard Cohen, Super Tramp, Beatles, Madness, Michael Franks, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Cara Emerald, Doors, Dory Previn, Waldek, etc etc.
*30s 40s and 50s artists-Billie Holliday, Julie London, Al Jolson, Laurel and Hardy silent film background music, etc.
*new music-about 300 or so songs from Spotify's "Made for You" lists-I don't discount post 2000 music- just very selective as to what I like.
Sometimes I spend more time figuring out what I want to play than figuring out where I want to drive. I am into my tunes, and I often think of my C2S as a 150K stereo system as I often become more immersed in the music than the car.
Needless to say, I got the Burmester.
And yes there are times I focus solely on just driving the car, and experiencing what a great machine it is.

I usually prefer a little more mellow when I'm carving up the roads. I've been on a Ben Howard, Caamp, and a little Brandi Carlile kick lately. Seems to pull me into the drive and the lyrics at the same time.
Probably in the minority but I don't really have music I listen to in any capacity with any regularity.
if the top is down, music is irrelevant for the most part.
If the top is up, I might have the radio on but I mostly listen to the car
