That's one big pee bottle you carry with you.

I just got my Escort 360c, and can't believe they still use a cigarette lighter connection. Is there a simple USB cable that converts 5 volt to 12 volt? If not I will send this back and look for something less archaic.

…what difference does that make?

That’s the standard 12V plug/receptacle.
There’s one in your passenger footwell.

It’s not a cigarette lighter.

Hardwire it and be done with it if you care.

Escort! I have used them from their very first through the years to the current Redline 360. You can hard wire or use the 12v, no wireless. A small price to pay for what it does. The suction cup will work on dash or windshield, but the Blendmount is the way to go.

From my 991.2 but it's identical to my 992. Can't imagine a cleaner solution and with the mirror tap it is super tidy.

There are multiple ways to wire it. Car accessories usually use 12v, because the accessory power in cars is 12v. You can hardwire it if you don't want to use the lighter port.

Interesting to see Escort recommendation. I thought Uniden R8 was the latest and greatest!

Hey guys, quick question: if I install my R7 using the Blendmount option, can I remove it quickly if need be, eg, driving in DC or VA?? Thanks.

I've got the Blendmount for my V1 Gen2 and it's super simple to mount/dismount the detector.

I used the 360c suction cup, but have to take the radar down everytime I leave the car in the sun b/c the heat will make it fall off. Usually the suction cup will stay up with nothing on it while parked, but on the hottest days it will fall off too, especially if I have my sun shield up reflecting all that heat away from the dash. I probably need to get the blendmount but when I got my 360c I was put off a bit by the $150 price tag for a mount, added to which it puts the Escort quite a bit lower than my suction cup mount, which when I have that up, is right up under the mirror pretty tight on the left side.
