I’d like to see:
1) a new dark shade of Blue (Yachting Blue Metallic or Dark Blue Metallic)
2) something more classic like Azzurro Thesys Metallic
3) The return of Dolomite Silver

I feel that Gentian Blue Metallic would have to go NLA prior to another dark metallic blue being released.

That Azzuro Thetys Metallic looks interesting. Another I would love to see in different light conditions.

Porsche needs more blues and greens in their non-PTS range. In other words an option that average-911 buyer has a chance of getting.

This might be a stupid question but what does “Neo” mean for a paint color?

Neo means new. There used to be a Ruby Star and there is now a Ruby Star Neo, effectively a slightly different hue to the original Ruby Star and it's labeled as Neo.

Shark Blue (which is basically Mexico Blue Neo if using the “Neo” nomenclature) is going away so another blue will show up as special color.

Looking at what Porsche did with Panamera gives some clue what may happen with 992.2. There is no free color, just black or white. So if 992.2 follows, we will lose no cost Guards Red and non-metallic yellow.

And the $840 formerly metallic color option is now grayscale only and renamed “shades” - literally 7 shades of boring grayscale. If you want color, you need to step up to a new category and pay $1500 for “dreams” tier. This in particular seems like nonsense because Gentian Blue is in this tier which is currently just a normal metallic color on 992.1. This is a naked money grab on the Panamera so I hope it doesn’t happen on the 992.

The current special colors have been renamed “legends” and it cost the same but nothing legendary about Chalk or Carmine Red. I hope the name stands up to promise and we will see more “Neo” version of PTS colors. Oak Green Neo making to 992.2 seems like a good bet.

Porsche is all about money grabs. You want black paint in the headlights? $700. Black paint on your tail lights? $700. A clock with an hour and minute hand? An insane $2,000?

I was really looking forward to shark blue so I'm sad to see that go. Gentian blue is definitely boring in comparison is kind of a drab dark blue. I don't care if for green cars so I'm hoping there is some kind of vibrant blue to replace shark and sad if the only free colors are black and white and they take away guards red. That seems like at least a reasonable vibrant alternative to shark. Not crazy about yellow cars either.

I would say Shark Blue is closer to Voodoo Blue than Mexico.

100%. I have seen SB parked next to MB and there is little to no resemblance to one another other than the fact that they are a shade of blue.

I agree give us our own new color doesn't the 911 deserve it
