This is another Rip Van Winkle thread.

Yes, if you haven’t bought a car since Mar 2020, the world has changed. It is the new normal in the Porsche world.

87 posts in 22 years. You average less than 4 posts per year! I think others here average 4 posts per hour lol!!

I sent you a PM regarding a possible dealer to help you

Try your luck at a smaller dealership, or buy pre-owned (again, at market prices).
this is the same dealership that had a salesman steal million of dollars of customers money. in the end they got their deposits back, but what kind of employee vetting do they do to allow this to happen under their watch?

True - but not sure how is that relevant to this thread.

i would never buy a car from champion Porsche based on their past history and refusal to sell the OP a car because he is not in their zip code

To each their own. I've been treated extremely well by them over the past 10 yrs.
Happy to give them my business (and $)

I have said it before and I will say it again, the 911 market here in Florida remains off the charts and just finding a allocation at any dealer here is tough on any 911 and yes ADM's remain in play here. Surprised that with you being less than 30 miles away that they consider you "not in their area".....

Not at all, but I can see why you would say that. It's just that my experience with them has always been great.
OP ( and many here on RL) expect car buying like we did a couple of years back, when 911's sat at dealerships showrooms, and it just doesn't happen anymore.
The rules of the game have changed, take it or leave it.

Before you answer I am 26.9 miles from the dealership. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks Joe C.
My understanding is that Porsche incentivizes dealers to sell within their market. 26.9 miles sounds pretty close, but could be in a different market as defined by Porsche, or maybe the person that spoke to you misunderstood where you live. I can’t imagine someone being paid on a commision basis telling you they can’t sell to you when then actually can.

Well he did make a copy of my drivers license and asked his manager if they could make an exception so there was no mistake as to where I live. But this second dealer and sales rep was very knowledgeable and is now talking about an alternative path with a european delivery so lets see. Thanks to those that gave me dealers to contact if this doesn't work out.
