I’m so sorry I mistook viper green for python green. I had the same problem with my Speedster. I kept saying it was PTS Viola Purple when it was actually PTS Viola Metallic. The point is you can’t get green on the Carrera T without having to pay for PTS. I’ll be more careful in my posts next time. Enjoy your Carrera T.

Just moved to V100 but with a Feasibility Check Failed status description. Dealer should be able to tell me on Monday why my config failed check... Maybe it's too many options or the color combination 😀

You might have a option that went on stop sale. Porcshe and most of the auto industry is still dealing with supply issues.

The S has more torque, but the T (and base Carrera) has a more "normally-aspirated" feel (thanks to less-boosted turbo) which makes it more imperative to wring out the RPMs. Which is why having a manual on the base T (even if it makes it the "slowest" 911) is such a blast. Kind of like the difference between the original base 987.1 Cayman (the 2.7) and the Cayman S (3.4). You had to rev the 2.7 more to get the power (even if the S engine only amounted to a 1/2 second advantage on 0-60) but it sounded glorious.

Discovered why it was stuck on "Feasibility Check Failed" and now I'm in a V200 status. Woohoo! Can't wait for it to arrive in February.

This reminds me of the conversation about the ST on the GT sub. People that don't get the "sum of it's parts" idea opine on numbers and part lists they read on the internet but don't have seat time. The base and the S lean on the side of comfy grand tourer in the 992 generation. The GTS ought to be the Turbo but that badge is already taken. The T is the only 992 that feels like an old Carrera. Historically Carreras have never been about comfort, stoplight racing, big bursts of torque under the speed limit, or trap times. They've always been raw, basic NA cars that beg for high RPMs. They're not for people who get their kicks by having the car jump at the slightest application of the gas pedal or going fast in a straight line. They are for people who enjoy "driving slow cars fast". People who find reward in getting a car up to speed, maintaining it, and dispensing it in technical roads. The reward is in the effort and all that. This is where the 911 shines: in the on/off application of power and brake modulation to go fast on roads that try to force you to go slow. The challenge of defying physics by managing weight transfer. Not everyone gets this. And not everyone gets that you don't need 500hp for this kind of road work.

Appreciate all the input. I’ve had “fast cars”, all relative of course, but my favorite car was not… it was a 75 BMW 2002. M42 swapped, suspension modernized and dialed, ti brakes, sticky re71r’s. In the SoCal canyons it was the most fun ever. I loved the feeling, the noise and ringing the living **** out of the engine because with less than 150hp only at higher RPM, you had to.

Seems like the T is my kind of car.

And Zanary, congrats on the allocation moving forward. Cheers.

I just read an article from Road & Track, I believe, about how the ST is the greatest driver's car ever!

Thanks for that absolutely useless piece of info for 99.99999% of the population. I guess the T is the "conmon man's" ST. I do find it interesting that they dropped RAS...

Exactly my sense. The T and the ST share the same intent (if the T is optioned adequately). The ST just takes it to another level.

I have been on the allocation list for a S Cab. It seems to be a long wait.

The great news is

It’s a no lose situation they are both great cars. I currently have a 20 C2S and a 23 “T” love them both but the “T” is special. Porsche uses some type of magic dust on the “T” cars I swear. I find it funny so many people get hung up on the HP and torque comparison when in fact either car has plenty of both and the smaller turbos on the T do a good job of masking the deficit unless your competing for lap times on the track the base engine is great and I think better for the street. HP and torque figures are just a flex on the 992 cars unless your doing track days often IMO

Get the T never look back my .02

Default Officially official.

Allocations came last week and my order is in. Dealer gave the option between T and S… went with the T. Went Shark over the T interior in black with gray. Very excited.
