If you go to PECATl, do launch control on a 992 GT3 and then try it on the GTS. You'll feel what he's talking about. The GT3 is a dog off the line.

I think all 911’s are special and when you aren’t talking to people on this forum the average person is going to think any 911 is pretty special, regardless of how many letters the back has or doesn’t have.
I think for me the interior of the T or S would be the big deciding factor. Do you want more luxurious inside or more lightweight ready for the track LWB (if you can get them again).
When the car shows up at the dealer no matter which model you choose, it’s going to be a special day.

I don't disagree with you that 0-60 times can be approached from either a pure horsepower or torque perspective.
That's really not what we (meaning, aggie57) and I are talking about).
It's more about how that power is delivered. If the torque curve basically peaks at 2k RPM, the car will feel faster than a car with a torque curve that peaks at 7k RPM, because unless you're on track or driving like a hoonigan you spend most of your life under 5k RPM. This is really why FI engined are so much better for daily commutes, even though no one here likes to admit it.
This is essentially the "butt dyno" at work.

If I may give my opinion, an engine produces torque. The rate at which this torque is applied is called horsepower. If it can apply its torque rapidly, it's a high horsepower engine relative to itself. This is the science of it to the best of my knowledge.

I wanted to get some opinions. Fortunate enough to be buying my first new Porsche. I thought I had my mind made up with a T. I’ve spoken to a dealer, submitted an order demand, and should be getting an allocation in October/ November looking at a Feb/ March (or a little later with PTS) delivery. The conundrum: I love the idea of a “special” car by way of a PTS Bahama Yellow build. I love the classic color paired with the classic ethos of an “enthusiast spec”. However. If I build out an S in an OTS color I really love after seeing at Werks this year, aventurine green, it’s within $3k.
So the big question. A PTS Bahama T or a Aventurine Green S. Will I miss the extra power in an S? This can always be bumped up with a tune.

I thought the email I provided from PCNA re my recent PTS decline was pretty much the writing on the wall. lol Worth a shot I suppose. Yet sold out is sold out…

V070 = A vehicle demand request has been submitted to Porsche
V200 = Delivery date determined. Now you have an allocation with an estimated delivery date.
V170/180 = This mean the order is being reviewed by Porsche because of a special request
V250 = Order has locked
