"Panama Canal pileup due to drought reaches 154 vessels"

Crystal Ray and Heritage Leader both got there today/yesterday :/

Haha false alarm in our case, the pileup is only for ships that could not be scheduled in advance. I emailed the Panama Canal Authority last night and got a response that and Heritage Leader is scheduled to go through today, Crystal Ray scheduled to go through tomorrow!

I think it needs to be fresh water, not sure why though. Maybe corrosion of lock components, etc?

They lock up and then down - consumes a great deal of fresh lake water each time!

Nope, the locks are filled with water from the nearby lakes. Those lakes are running low due to draught.
