Default What's with the three seashells...I mean beeps?

Every now and again while driving I'll hear three rapid high-pitched beeps. Usually if there's a suspension shock, like a bump or dip in the road, but sometimes during spirited cornering. And once during a normal lane change with blinker on and no traffic anywhere near me. There's nothing on the dash or PCM, and it doesn't always happen - it's very inconsistent.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Collision warning perhaps? It has happened to me a couple times, both false alarms.

If you have the Porsche dashcam it’s the shock sensor in there. You can reduce the sensitivity in the dashcam app.

I do, and that's probably it - it would explain why there's no accompanying message on any of the car's displays. I only got the car on Monday and so far haven't had a chance to dive into the DashCam stuff. I will definitely do that - thanks!

Sorry to hijack your thread, but on a related note, can you use wireless apple CarPlay while your dashcam is recording? I've read the previous threads about the Porsche dashcam. As I understand it, you cannot use wireless CarPlay while you're watching any video that was recorded on the PCM. But it was unclear to me whether you can use the wireless CarPlay just when the dashcam is recording (i.e. when you're driving around like normal). My 992T (prewired for dashcam) is on a boat now and I'm wondering if I should go ahead and pull the trigger on the dashcam - I don't want to if I can't use wireless CarPlay.

I do not have a dash cam, however the LKA has those 3 sounds when I wander out of the lane (or it thinks I am).

Yes, it will record if you are using Apple CarPlay, or if you don't even have a phone paired with the car.
