Whoops. Forogt to order cup holder with leather trim
First, I did use the crappy search function and also used the Google search "site: rennlist.com forgot leather cup holder" thinking I am not the only one along with the SA who forgot to order the over-priced leather trim for the cup holder. At the moment, my car is sitting at the port in Emden.
Using Google I found numerous threads discussing the need to add the leather trim so you don't see the plastic with extended leather along with everyone's opinions. The configurator seems to reasonable job of seeing the difference with and without the leather cup holder trim. My car has Bordeaux extended leather with deviated stitching, if you have forgotten the leather trim how noticeable is the difference with/without the leather trim?
Hopefully, I can order the part, and am thinking the $390 option which is ridiculous will be a bargain compared to the parts department price.

Why would you want a leather cupholder when plastic is superior to moisture? Leather does not do well with water/liquid saturation - which is why you never see leather in medical offices or on cupholders. But Porsche will sell you anything if you are silly enough to buy it..

The color match between the plastic and leather depends on the interior color. Not sure how noticeable it is on Bordeaux, but to me it’s not very noticeable on black and noticeable on Truffle Brown. YMMV—hard to know without seeing in person for yourself.
