Considering a Pre Owned 992 and I have some questions
All -
I am considering a pre owned 992 (see sticker below for build) and I have some questions.
1) See sticker/build in first picture below. Cat has 18k miles, excellent condition in.out. I negotiated the price down to $120K - This seemed like a fair price to me (based on PUSA and cars.com searches) - but wanted this group's feedback.
2) See my second picture below - what is that small *** sticking out of that hole? That picture was taken of the right portion of the center right bumper? This is my 3rd 911 (first 992) and I have never seen that before?

Nice build and seems like a really good price!
I just went to check my 2023 and I never noticed that before (only had the car about a month) but I have it as well, so can confirm whatever it is, its OEM (I custom ordered my car). Will be interested to find out what it is as well.

Great build, great color, good deal. Congrats, you're gonna love it.
My guess is that little needle-like protrusion is some type of sensor.... possibly a temperature sensor or moisture sensor for wet mode....

It is the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor. Same design of my Mercedes, raccoon took out the sensor and fog light. At that point the outside temperature reading was incorrect and my automatic climate control didn't function like normal.

Nice spec. Price seems good assuming low miles.

Take it and enjoy it. These cars are super difficult to get new.

For others, here's a close-up of the Monroney Label Options List.
I think it's a nicely and tastefully optioned "S". Not overdone and not short changed either IMHO.
The price you pay is totally up to you. What you want has a lot to do with this sort of thing and is completely subjective on your part.
Does it come with a CPO warranty? From a BMW dealer, unless they are a dealer group that includes a Porsche dealership, I'd guess that it doesn't. But if it did, that'd be a real plus in its favor.
FWIW, The Probe is one of the the Ambient Air Temperature Sensors.

Just a thought . . . here's my Monroney Label. My 2021 C2S is somewhat similar to the one you're looking at. FWIW, In this market? I would NOT sell mine for anything close to $120,000.

Unfortunately, it is not CPO'd. I may try to take it to my P dealership to see if they would be willing to do that for me.
18K on the odometer - so about half way through warranty.

Before taking ownership, might be worth having that Porsche dealership next door do a PDI for you. Even if it costs a few dollars.

I'd suggest doing a quick search this forum regarding the lite weight glass. Have been several people that werent thrilled.
I personally wouldn't buy non-cpo and would ask for an additional +1 or +2 as well. If the bmw dealer is part of the same group as the Porsche dealer no reason they can't cpo.
