Need your help and advice....on the .1 vs .2

Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well. I have recently been called by my dealership, and my name expedited to the top of the allocation list because they "knew" that I was not looking for a quick re-sale. This was pleasantly surprising, but not anticipated. I have only one day left to make my decision.
I am a long time fan of the 911, but never got around to owning one. And now I am looking to have my first, 992 CS. And my question will be mainly around the 992.2 variant. I know this is being discussed in multiple threads, and I read most of them, but needed more fresh advice.
Respectfully to others, I am anti-electrification. My other car is a 6.2L V8 and that is staying with me until the day it dies. My only dilemma is whether I should pull the trigger on the .1, or wait for the .2. My dealer told me it's an 80% change the S will come in only a hybrid variant next year. And I am the last one on their list for the 992.1; they don't have anymore allocations. I don't presume that they are "selling me" because they don't have a reason to. They can just call the other person on the list and get it over with.
I know nothing about the .2 which is why I am here, to see if anyone has any insider information up their sleeve. I don't want to wait for the .2 and find out it's a hybrid, nor do I want to pull the trigger now and see it coming as fully ICE and well upgraded. And while I appreciate that the information is limited, I believe your experience might help point me in the right direction. What would you do in my shoes?
Apologies in advance if I am in the wrong area, or discussing something that I shouldn't be. But I am looking forward to being an active member on this great forum.
Thank you all.

Sometimes we tend to over-think these things. Take the bird in hand; I promise yoiu'll be happy.

Ask yourself “ will I be at the top of the list when the .2 comes out ?”
What do you have to offer ? Trade in ? Long time customer ? You seem surprised you were offered a spot , better take it because all of those other people will come out of the woodwork for the latest and greatest version of the 911 and you will wait.
If the 992.2 is so compelling at least you would have a 992.1 trade to offer. Take the car .

Hmm. That's a very good point. Where I live it's sun all year round and deadly in the summer. I just liked the red steering wheel with the center in black. But I just checked the Black/Bordeaux interior and looks nice as well. Maybe I'll change to that. Thanks for bring this up.

As to your question-I would take the allocation because you are going to have a long wait for a .2 allocation and it could be hybrid. If you like the .2, the .1 in your garage can be traded for an allocation and with the trade you will jump near the top of the list.

Take what you can get. A 992.2 would be nice, but I would take a 992.1 allocation if it was offered to me today.

Porsche rarely does “well upgraded” .2 generations, if ever. It’s normally a few tweaks to shortcomings in the .1, a little bit more technology, and sometimes you lose something (for example, the 991.1 was naturally aspirated, the 991.2 was all turbo).
It’s not as if the 992.2 is going to have some incredible upgrade that makes owning a 992.1 look paltry in comparison.
Buy the car.

Take the .1 and wait/trade for the 994 for the hybrid system to be perfected.

I think this is the crux of your entire statement, and it’s quite likely your supposition is wrong.
