Spontaneous Glass Spidering Anyone?
Spontaneous window glass spidering anyone?? WTF I walked out past car 10 mins prior and window was not like this. Ran uptown quickly and saw this the second I got home. There's no point of impact marks either. The glass in this car is Porsche's lightweight glass, obviously a problem. The car has been parked since yesterday afternoon. Sent messages to SA and Service Department, I'll keep you posted.

Damn the LTW glass strikes again. Porsche has has given us some "innovations" lately that have been disappointing. LTW glass, LiPO4 battery, seat release strap, PDK no manual park override

@Scott P , do you mind sharing what year your car is?
Curious is it was manufactured before or after lightweight glass was removed and subsequently returned as an option for these cars...

I also have the Lightweight Noise Reducing Glass option on my 2021 C2S. Last week at 15,000 miles and about 2 1/2 years in service, the Windshield cracked in three separate places. No impacts. The cracks do not connect to each other. Looks like Porsche will take care of this. BUT, FWIW a “regular” aftermarket Windshield installed by a National Automotive Glass franchise would have cost me ~$750. Just the Porsche Lightweight Noise Reducing Glass alone, not to include installation and recalibration of the electronics is well over $3,000. I do wish I’d not selected this option. This is crazy!

At the suggestion of the service dept., I used track tape in/out of the window to prevent further spider proliferation. I won't be driving much as the glass shouldn't take too long to get here, they're working on it now.
