I know alot has been said about the rattles in the 992 but I want to ask you guys, how do you cope with it ? Im one of the ones that has the tank rattle that I think is coming back after many trips to service and a new part sent from Porsche. Now I have this new thing that's coming from what seems to be the speaker in the passenger door and one that is now appearing from the roof. I have never owned a car with so many rattles tbh. How are you guys handling it ? Do you go to service every time one appears or just let it be or what ? I need therapy rattles really make me nuts haha

1. Turn radio up
2. Clip rattling garage door remote on visor or door card, this thing rattles like a snake effectively tuning out the real rattles. Never notice car rattles now because that damn remote is vibrating

I had the gas tank rattle return roughly a year after it was fixed the first time. So, Porsche “fixed” it again. This time with significantly larger mounting cushions. So I guess we’ll see in another year or so. But Porsche will then own it for the life of the car, having established a clear and as yet unresolved manufacturing defect.
As for the Door Speaker I believe that’s a know issue that Porsche has addressed with a Technical Service Bulletin to their Dealers.

you can take it to your dealer and have them start tearing **** apart but when you remove something that was not meant to be removed often you also tend to get new noises! if you still feel bad see if you can find an old g-body out there and go for a ride in that. and Porsche hand built every single one of those and they have all kinds of rattles.
if you want something that doesn't make noise maybe a higher end Lexus, Bentley, or similar might be your thing?

Our 22 992 has had its share of interior rattles and squeaks. Believe it or not, our local Porsche service department has been able to successfully address them (without making anything worse).
To date, they've fixed rattles in the headliner, passenger side speaker area and one in the center console. We've had a new one crop up that seems to be coming from behind the passenger side rear sear that we'll have them check out the next time we have it in for service.
I hear you on expecting better quality from Porsche.

The long-term solution is to get old. Rattles in cars used to drive me crazy, but the older I get the more I lose hearing acuity in the high frequencies, which is where most rattles manifest. I think my 992 is the most rattle-free car I've ever owned...however, my wife assures me it's making noises I don't hear.

Am I the only one who likes the rattles? Its a sports car, raw and unforgiving. At least mine is, after the meth/water install I'll be somewhere around 700hp. Its not a luxury car.

I love the 992 but if anyone talks about Porsche "quality", I need to slap them. It is not a thing any longer if it ever was. I have owned 52 cars in my life and the car with the most issues was the 992... by FAR. People can say I'm crazy but my C8 Corvette had better build quality when it came to squeaks, rattles and silly issues. I love the 992 but I'm disappointed by Porsche build "quality" and attention to detail.
