Hello Everyone
My T is about three weeks away from delivery. Upon checking on insurance, I got quoted $1350 for 6 months through Allstate. I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area. My last Porsche was back in 2015 C4S, back then I was paying $800. Just wondering what you guys are paying if you don't mine sharing.
Thanks

Geez. I was quoted $5,500 in Florida with Porsche insurance at 8,000 miles a year. Geico is $1,800 for unlimited miles. 100% would’ve gone with Porsche insurance if it was anywhere near Geico’s quote.
Edit: $1,800 not $2,400. Wife’s new Q5 is $2,200 and I got them mixed up.

It’s really difficult to get meaningful forum comparisons on insurance premiums. It’s going to vary by state, age, credit rating, driving record, parking situation, garaged location, number of vehicles insured, claim history, and don’t forget about coverages and other factors like home ownership.
Most people won’t share those details in a public forum and some, you might want to be sitting down for this one, won’t be truthful in their forum posts on what they are paying, out of embarrassment or desire to boast.
I do spittakes when I see what people are paying for so little coverage. Sure, you can buy insurance online, but there is much to be said for working with an agent that can get a better picture for what you need to protect and how much risk you can handle. Old school, I know, but a great agent is a wonderful thing.
If you are buying a six figure car and aren’t sophisticated on this front, it’s a good idea to get sophisticated. I’m sure that someone will “ok, boomer” me on that advice — despite being a Gen Xer myself. If you’re young, the insurance is going to be a big monkey and you should be ready for that.

In most states, you report miles when you renew your registration. Those details can be made available to folks like insurance companies, leasing companies, and lienholders. So, I would not go fibbing to your insurance company.

i've been told the increase at least here in UT is because of all the new dip **** drivers moving into the state causing lots of new accidents, our roads are **** here and constantly being worked on, and then due to the replacement value of 992. my agent i have been with for ~ 30 years did everything she could to get me the rate i have so i just paid it.
hope that helps!

2022 992S full coverage with $2k deductible and 250k/500k liability. Over 65 with no accidents, tickets or claims. $682 for 6 months with $180 discount for cash payment up front = $502 every 6 months.
