One additional data point for folks waiting on their '24s. The Porsche factory does get shut down for retooling for the first 3 weeks of August even if there are no changes for the next model year. When I received my '23 992 allocation back in April, 2022, my initial delivery date was October, 28, 2022. I took delivery of one of the first '23s delivered in the US in early November 2022. There was a delay in Baltimore for a couple weeks because the Monroney sticker was not yet approved by the US regulators for my particular 992 engine/transmission combination before my car could be released to the dealer. When I took delivery of my car, there were some still waiting on their '22s due to part shortages for specific build combinations.

YMMV of course.

interesting. The SA said these cars are built quickly. Dont remember if it was a week or two to make the car. Any truth to that? Supposed to arrive 9/29/23 but from reading here I added another month.

The main production of the car itself, yes, it only takes a week or two, but what you have to account for (assuming you're in the US) is the wait to get it from the factory to Emden, the wait at Emden for a ship, the travel across the pond, arrival/unloading at port, inspection at port, additional parts installed when it is at the port, transportation from port to your dealer, and then pre-delivery inspection at your dealer. Not to mention unexpected delays like mine with the Monroney sticker.

Looking at the start dates for the 24s, it sounds like I'll have one of the last 23's produced. My 2023 C2S coupe went into production on 6/15 and is scheduled for completion 6/22.

My 24 S Cab (manual) had a freeze date of 5/29. Manufacturing is scheduled to be completed 6/30 with delivery on 7/29. Crazy how 22 ans 23 cars may be on the assembly line at the same time. They must have rushed the changeover to get the higher price sooner.

Right now my Targa has an 8/29/23 delivery date... freeze came a week earlier than projected oddly enough.

Default MY2024 Freeze moved over one month earlier....

I learned yesterday that my freeze date has moved from July 16 to this coming Tuesday, June 27. Fortunately, I spent so many hours on the configurator that I have run out of decisions - well, almost. BTW, although there were no accurate images on the configurator last night, when I went to "Print Build", the rendering of the car on the PDF was correct. My original delivery date was late October with the build starting immediately after the August shutdown, but I was told that delivery will be in early September. For the past several days, TYD showed the dates (which had been estimated and visible) as currently unavailable. My SA says that he had to work with PCNA managers because I went back to V100 - Feasibility Check Failed owing to the model designation stickers that I included.

Wow! I just looked at TYD and the estimated dates are back! The freeze moved up a day to June 26 (Yikes!), manufacturing complete on 7/26 (that's fast, and a short time between freeze and build start on 7/19!) with delivery projected for September 9 to my dealer here in SoCal.

My freeze moved from 7/6 to 6/29, but I'm essentially done so had my SA send me the code of the build as of today so I can double check this weekend. My build start is 7/24 with completion on 8/28 so just over a month with delivery 10/3. Not in a hurry, but want to ensure build is correct before freeze for sure.
