Default 992 T order regrets or considerations

Many of us have ordered the first 992 T out there so there were no pictures of our preferred combinations. We all needed to think in advance what we wanted and how it would turn out. What color to order? What interior options. Full leather? T package? Interior inlays in color? Burmester? Silver end tips? Should I have ordered the wing? What about the decals?

Now that so many people are finally taking delivery of their cars, most of us are left amazed how some combos actually look. It’s very logical that buying something unseen will have a different outcome than being able to check all things out.

So for that reason I started this thread. It’s not all intended very serious. I am sure most of us would not change much. Just curious what you regret after seeing all the pictures of current deliveries. Or what you would have actually considered knowing this before finalizing your order.

To start it off: I am mostly blown away by the shark blue color with yellow deviated stitching interior. This is something I would definitely have considered. And I made a mistake by not ordering the PDLS+ having that ugly white unit on top.

I have two regrets, but maybe better described as disappointments than regrets given that they were outside of my control. I’m very excited for my Carrera T but I would have killed for a T with unobtanium bucket seats and PTS.

My T will be delivered on Tuesday of next week. Super excited. I have guards red and I saw some pictures of a car with the seat backs painted in red and it looks absolutely stunning. Definitely wish I would have species that. I’ve looked into aftermarket solutions and there may not be any so that is a little bit of a bummer. But I’m still super happy about the car. I think my other miss was choosing the base stereo because burneister seemed excessive but I found a local expert my dealer recommended who has upgraded a number of base audio systems for about 3K and he is quite confident he can give me the sound I want. So that takes the sting away from that a bit. I also considered the sunroof, but I really like the sporty lines of the car without it and feel contented that I made the right choice to leave it off. I think for an S that was specced out to be a luxury grand tourer it would feel more necessary but in this car I’m liking the sport focused feel and happy without it.

So the normal ones have the white (reflecting material actually) top. But without the chrome circle. The PDLS+ have the black top but with chrome ring. Which looks much better.

Once you see this it cannot be unseen

I regret not doing lizard green gauges. I didn't like the ring look so I just skipped it, but after seeing others, it looks good. Oh, and maybe the interior mood lighting thing for kicks.

Otherwise, so far,v so good!

No regrets but I would've considered the aerokit after seeing cars with it on. Oh well.

That’s my build! ETA late June
Ill probably end up regretting not getting Burmester but I haven’t heard the base audio to confirm. I have base audio in my 981 and I get by.

the base system is good enough though it does lack bass. My understanding is there isn't a separate amp for base audio system.

Not sure why some call it white. It’s not white, it’s silver. I have it on my c2 and imo it looks just fine.

It wouldn't be real Porsche ownership if we didn't obsess over the details.

My only regret is no green color available on 2024's. I was also told no to PTS (after initially a yes).

I don't have my car yet, but after seeing the first round of deliveries, there are a few things I wish I could change right now!!!

1.) Aerokit is for sure the coolest option that I was scared to check the box on because I figured I'd get delay after delay and miss my change at an ED trip... Turns out most people who ordered the same time as me got it no problem
2.) Bucket seats, but those are still a big ???.... So I'd say now I wish I had optioned the colored seat back insert to tie the Rubystar to the interior a bit. @Macboy was right on this one!
3.) The only other thing I wish I had done was keep the 911 Carrera T badge on the back of the car. I always like a cleaner look on the back, so I optioned just "911"... but after seeing these cars get delivered, I think I should have left it and represented the T crew better... at least I kept the side decal, so not a total miss.

Im sure this list will evolve over time, and once I take delivery in 2 weeks I bet I dont care about any of this... but the photos certainly making me rethink these couple of things

MOST EXCITED about finally getting a chance to test the RWS with the manual transmission and providing a real world review of the RWS system on the T. Will share my findings with you guys as soon as I have it for a couple days. I promise to be honest and share if I made a mistake or not

Same here, my last T didn't have RAS and there are few models that even make this option available with a manual transmission. I hear it's not as impactful as it was with the 991.2 chassis but still worth it.
