Black Stoneguards. Yay or Nay?

Yes, I opted for it in spite of my dislike of sunroofs mainly to be able to open the sunshade and let light in an otherwise dark interior. Thanks for the note dude.

I wanted to put black on clear, but the installer advised me against it. I saw the whole installation process. He pulled a heat-gun and peeled the clear guard like a banana-peel, within 5 minutes, no residue glue or other debris. Cleaned with 95% alcohol for good measure and applied the new black matt guards.
Very slick process, what Porsche OPC were not willing to do themselves, but having seen it done, it’s relatively easy.

@pbcsd please post detailed (zoom-in) photos how it looks.

When I picked up the car a month or so ago Porsche didn’t want to remove the stone guards, claimed it was too difficult since it was a 3 year old car.
So when I had my car ceramic’d and gas lid wrapped, guy said he could just put a layer of PPF on it. Not sure it will hold but will see. For CAD$70 in total was worth the shot.

Will try to remember Thurs when I’m back. What specifically did you want to see?

I was keen to see the finish of the top edges of the black-matt shark-fin on top of the transparent one.
No rush, this is purely out of interest as my installer removed the transparent one already, so its a mute point.

Why is it not advised to place the black stone guards on top of the clear?
