It matches your roof nicely... is it glass sunroof?

Yes, I opted for it in spite of my dislike of sunroofs mainly to be able to open the sunshade and let light in an otherwise dark interior. Thanks for the note dude.

Loved the black on GT silver. Does factory only comes in a clear guard? Can this be ordered with black guard?

Ended up having black matte PPF out over top the clear stone guards. Will see how it lasts. Porsche wanted C$160 a side to remove and replace.

@pbcsd please post detailed (zoom-in) photos how it looks.

I wanted to put black on clear, but the installer advised me against it. I saw the whole installation process. He pulled a heat-gun and peeled the clear guard like a banana-peel, within 5 minutes, no residue glue or other debris. Cleaned with 95% alcohol for good measure and applied the new black matt guards.

Very slick process, what Porsche OPC were not willing to do themselves, but having seen it done, it’s relatively easy.

Will try to remember Thurs when I’m back. What specifically did you want to see?

When I picked up the car a month or so ago Porsche didn’t want to remove the stone guards, claimed it was too difficult since it was a 3 year old car.

So when I had my car ceramic’d and gas lid wrapped, guy said he could just put a layer of PPF on it. Not sure it will hold but will see. For CAD$70 in total was worth the shot.

I was keen to see the finish of the top edges of the black-matt shark-fin on top of the transparent one.

No rush, this is purely out of interest as my installer removed the transparent one already, so its a mute point.

Yeah, for CAD$70 cash felt like a no brainer as if it didn't work out I would just use the heat gun method to remove all of it and get actual black stone guards.

Why is it not advised to place the black stone guards on top of the clear?

Probably hard to perfectly align all the edges and the installers know that we will not settle for poor workmanship

I think the concern was more that the stone guard (or PPF) on top of existing stone guard may not bind as well and peel off easier over time?
