Thanks to all for the interest. I'm a few weeks out. Need to do some testing to feel comfortable and be able to answer a lot of the questions like how many times they can come on & off etc. Anyone in Dallas want to be a test car?
Nice. Thanks. Any thoughts on a group buy?

I like the black on your car. They don’t go well on all cars though. I think mine look good .

It was a hard decision to spec. I figured if I didn’t like them I would just put the clears on. If. I were you I would do the same…put them on and live with them for a bit. If you like, keep. If you don’t, put the clears on.

I think I will have black removable stone guard options for the 992 and 718 available soon, SS22: I agree the beauty is taking on and off depending on your mood or where you are driving. Test photo of 991 shape on 718 Spyder (also not metal) below. I have a list of interested 992 and 718 folks. PM me if you want to be added to the list. I have more testing to do before I feel comfortable offering these. But so far so good.... video here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1ldty2nztg...ative.mov?dl=0

Material test: 991 shape on 718 Spyder. Not magnetic, not vinyl. Very excited about the possibilities
@tx targa will these stick to a car with ceramic coating and a slick detail spray on top? Most things like painter's tape, will not stick to my cars finish unless I strip some of that off. Would that be the case here?

I put the black once on, after a while removed them and went back to clear. Just too distracting for me on the otherwise clean lines of the car.

Good question, that is something I will need to test with the new material. Not what you asked, but the magnetic ones are fine over ceramic coat. I just did over 800 miles this weekend with my magnetic fins on my 991 over factory clear stone guards, with ceramic and a fresh layer of PS Bead Maker on top of that.

I wonder if it's the shape of the factory ones/ Do they go down too low? I did the one on the left in Photoshop (quickly) Are they better shorter?

Left side Photoshop, shorter. Right side factory, longer

I have a Racing Yellow C4S arriving end of May. I think the black accents the yellow nicely. Please add me to the "interested" list. Thanks!

Default black stone guard options

i like the black but the shape is not right on some level, I tried my own shape but still not happy with it, yet.

as far as PPF, I did the entire rear fender and then another layer of clear straight across at fender level, and then the black, this area of the car gets absolutely blasted, needs at least two layers of PPF, expel or other nothing can handle the rocks that hit the leading edge of the rear fender.

Factory Black Version

Lucky Pierre Version

Can you put these on and off easily or is this something that once you put on, if you take off, it’s trash? Also, does it go on top of the clear factory stone guard?

I don't think they'll be too difficult to take off but no, they will not be reusable. If you read above @tx targa is in the final stages of development for easy on easy off guards for our cars.
