Default Does 992 not come with headlight washers?!!

Hi just acquired a 2020 pdk C2S and a 2021 C2S manual and enjoying the modernity but wait !... neither have headlight washers!! All of my 991 have them and I can't find any info on headlight washers in the configurator....

I also searched 992 and headlight washers and came up with precious little. Please help...

Interesting perspective. Every time I see a 991 with headlight washers, I ask myself "why do they have headlight washers?". It actually happened today.

What is the need for headlight washers? I can't imagine anyone is driving in conditions that would actually require that as an option.

Maybe there is a really compelling reason that I'm not considering, but it seems like such an unnecessary function.

I hated them in every car I had them. All they do is spray washer fluid down the side of the car

Headlights 25 w (HID) or less and / or 2000 lumens (LED) don't need headlight washers and self leveling mechanism

Headlight washers and self leveling are mandatory for higher outputs in the EU and UK

I believe Porsche reduced the headlight power / lumen output on newer models to eliminate need for headlight washers

They're not required in the US.

I wonder if European manufacturers just kept them for US models just to keep the manufacturing process uniform and have decided that excluding them is worth the effort

My previous Audi's and BMW's with Zenon headlights all had washers and self leveling

It's ironic Porsche and Mercedes won't activate the full functionality of the headlights that European owners enjoy ????

I had a 530xiT with headlight washers that were not controllable, ie-they squirted when they felt like it. I was at a light and used the wipers to clean the glass and the motorcyclist next to me got sprayed. Sorry, one unhappy dude.

Woah! So much anti washer sentiment... guess I'll have to get used to the clean profile and miss pretending I was on some messy muddy rally stage with Walter Rohrl and what not...

I found myself carrying stuff to clean my 992s headlights during winter road trips, because on top of clearing them from salt/winter filth, the LED fixtures never get warm enough to prevent ice from forming.

Unfortunately, most 911 owners deny themselves of the fun that these cars can be in inclement weather. People drive them like they’ll dissolve in the rain. 😜

Headlight washers would be nice.

They are so ineffective and add an necessary eyesore to a beautiful car. Does anyone really believe they clean by just squirting a tiny bit of water on glass? Don't actually wash your car with soap or a sponge; just lightly spray it with water and let it roll off to clean it next time.

my BMW’s have had little flaps where headlight washes retract into the bumper but, surprise, no actual headlight washers! In Canada when they get really bad with winter grime we just use windshield washer/wipers at the gas station to crudely clean ‘em off.

Yeah I get it but still 911s have had light washers since the 911 SC I think so it's a bit of a change, haven't seen it discussed much unless I didn't search enough. It's always been kinda cool how they spray over the lights and 911 front humps... at night makes you feel like you're at Le Mans or something lol ... now poof they're gone
