The next batch of nationwide Base allocations most likely will be the 992.2.

It all depends on the dealer, if they're even willing to sell one at MSRP. What their waiting list looks like, And if they have any open allocations.
But don't be surprised if you're looking at 12 to 18 months if not longer.

I see you're in Houston (as am I). If you already have an established history at Porsche North Houston or another dealership that doesn't charge an ADM (very few offer MSRP), you're likely too late to get a MY2024 at MSRP since the lists at those dealers are very long... If you don't have an established dealer, you'll be looking at $10K ADM for a C2, $15K for a T, etc. with delivery in the Fall / Winter '23 range...

This is one where adm is not really the issue. One could be willing to pay a 50k adm on a base (yes, I know silly example) but even still good luck finding a dealer with a true available allocation. I believe most would agree that it is easier to get any other trim at the moment.

Dealers seem to be in the dark as much as anyone else these days with highly varied and unpredictable 911 allocations, so take that dealer's estimate with a large grain of salt. Not sure if it's always been this way but Porsche seems to be doing batch production of 911 trim levels lately (T and GT3 most recently, I believe). It makes sense for streamlining manufacturing processes and dealing with highly variable supply chains with an added dose of revenue/profit optimization now that they're a public company.

I have a Base about to be delivered, hopefully in the next 2 days. Makes me wonder 5-10+ years down the road how rare the 992.1 Base will be on the used market since so few of them seem to be being built.

I had a similar scenario with my 2021 Macan GTS. Last of the analog console and with all the chip shortages that year and GTS trim allocations already being the hardest to get, builds were down so not a ton of them floating around.

There seemed to be more in the 1st and 2nd model years; seems they've swapped to the T now and I saw someone mention that in some markets the T is in fact the base model now.
