I have the Carbonio and it's a great solution to no drill. Agree with Staffieguy with his points.

On a different thread about this, I thought people had said that the non-ACC Carbonio was reissued - and sent to people for free - which solved the "lower ground clearance with the plate installed" issue described here. Did I not read that someplace here? That aside, I think I agree with the people who say the sto/sho or even the tow hook (offset as it is) is better. With the tow hook one however, if you alternate running/not running with the plate, you have to keep replacing that bumper plug cover for the tow hook attachment, correct? I wonder if over time, that cover parts gets messed up after installing/removing it several times.

Yes

But i think it was a warning ticket as i was driving quite "spiritedly" so i got the front plate ticket rather than something more expensive

Read the mounting instructions on their website and you will be able to see why.
The version that clips on tje belly pan only works with that slotted pan. I had a wrong stick on version and the pads hit right where there was an indent.
I'd pay the extra for the right version. Or you will end up like me with $1,000 of hard to return (they are in Canada) mounts selling them on the classifieds...
I picked up the "With ACC" version and mounted it in the upper location. My car does not have ACC, so it took a little more work to line things up properly, but it works fine.
