Not a big fan of aftermarket looks but I do have a few things:
- PPF on front end
- SmartTop (big functionality advantage)!
- M Engineering Stage 0 tune - no extra power but disabled *** and reduced obnoxious farts and crackles from exhaust (I wish it could be fully eliminated but that doesn't seem to be possible)
- Added a cheap, 1970s looking garage door opener remote because the built in Homelink is useless
- New Michelin PS4S to replace the P Zeros that weren't fully worn but were starting to annoy me

After reading some other threads about lowering and spacers, I'm adding wider tires to my list... 255/315 since I have CL wheels and can't add spacers.

I don’t see Stage 0 on the M Performance site, it sounds like something I might be interested in. Do you have a link to where I can learn more?

Also, is it the crackles in Sport mode that you are trying to eliminate? I haven’t heard of anyone wanting to do this before. Do you have PSE?

It's not an official offering because it's a pretty niche-y requirement. But the M Engineering folks can customize a lot for individual tunes. In my case John Gaydos (Soul Performance) reached out and worked with M Engineering to code a stage 0 tune for the things I cared about.

On the second question, I wanted to eliminate/minimize the farts, pops and crackles in all modes. It is obviously much more exaggerated in Sport mode (which I never use anyway but much reduced now) but there is still some of that crackle on throttle lift in the other modes - it's not as pronounced but it's like a dog whistle to me. I really hate that sound so I wanted it as close to completely gone as possible. Now, the car sounds normal in all modes other than sport and I don't use sport anyway but that is the mode where you'd notice the reduction the most.

I have PSE (bought the car from the lot, I would not have ordered it) but I never use it - if I go to Sport+, I deactivate the exhaust switch.

Yes, I know 95% of you think I'm weird for trying to minimize the exhaust sound when everyone else is looking to add exhaust note but it's about quality of exhaust sound to me and I just don't like the sound of most turbo engines. I have some very nice sounding exhaust note cars (eg F355, Aston Martin V8) and for those cars, I say bring on the noise but I just don't enjoy the tone of modern turbo engines where the engineers have turned up the fartiness to compensate for the loss of natural aspirated, high rpm engine character.

Every other one of your posts is an inane question that could easily be answered by a simple search. Users like you who bring nothing to the table except these kinda questions make this a sh*tty community.

So this is your life? Commenting on posts you don't like because you have nothing else going on?

You realize most of the posts on this forum can be answered with a Google search.

The point to forums like this is often the discission about a topic not about a specific answer... So thank you for your scintillating addition to the discission Karen.

I have another question: what's the worst mod you ever did on your 992?
Mine are the Techart style front aero pieces...want properly stick and when they come up interfere with the adjustable grille...already lost 2, replaced and still trouble. Just reattached one today. 😭 Now thinking to replace the entire front plastic with DB carbon replacements.

just to be clear, only one of us spent our weekend going through the other person’s posts. I’ve spent exactly zero seconds of my life looking into you. And after this reply will never think about you again, Karen.

Now, back to this seemingly popular thread that I started contributing nothing to this forum. 😘
